Tailypo is an adaptation of an old African American/Appalachian region folktale about a hunter and his dog haunted by a red-eyed monster, seeking revenge for its eaten tail. While looking for food in the woods, the hunter fires his shotgun into the distance and severs a large tail of an unknown creature. He takes tail home and eats it for supper. Later that evening, rustling and clawing noises wake the hunter from his slumber. Unfortunately, he does not know the terror that lurks outside his cabin.
